Job Title: Compliance Specialist III Job Location: Brookpark, OH, USA, Hybrid (Three days a week in the office and two days remote).
Salary: $90,000 - $95,000 USD Job Summary The Compliance Specialist III will assist in the development and administration of the Bank's compliance program and evaluate its effectiveness.
Review internal controls and adherence to consumer laws and regulations.
Perform testing at appropriate intervals for compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Assess the adequacy of policies, procedures, and controls intended to prevent and detect violations.
Ensure that Bank departments are monitored for compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Prepare written reports summarizing adherence to consumer compliance laws and regulations.
Implement corrective action as appropriate.
Conduct research to provide sound compliance advice and support in interpreting regulations and Bank policies.
Disseminate information on regulatory compliance matters and consult with management and teammates.
Maintain knowledge of consumer compliance regulations and monitor regulatory revisions.
Assist in reviewing Bank policies and procedures based on regulatory changes, internal audits, and examinations.
Ensure new Bank products comply with applicable laws and regulations.
Communicate with the Compliance Officer for inclusion in compliance risk assessments.
Assist in developing training and oversight programs regarding compliance laws for all employees and the Board of Directors.
Contribute to the creation and implementation of technology-based compliance solutions for Bank operations.
Review and approve compliance and business documents prior to implementation.
Participate in internal audits and regulatory examinations, ensuring findings are addressed timely.
Develop tools and procedures for adequate monitoring processes to ensure compliance with regulations.
Attend project and committee meetings to provide compliance perspectives.
Revise Compliance Department policies and procedures as necessary.
Qualifications & Experience Credit card consumer compliance experience.
Regulatory compliance experience.
Familiarity with banking regulations.
Fully knowledgeable of applicable consumer compliance laws and regulations.
Ability to interpret new and existing state and federal laws and banking regulations (e.g.
CCARDA, BSA/AML, TILA, FCRA, ECOA, etc.)
