Observability Engineer - Santander Digital Services Country: Spain WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING SCIB is looking for an Observability Engineer for our offices in Málaga .
As an Observability Engineer, you will have the following responsibilities: Ensure the stability, availability, and performance of our organization's systems and services.
Collaborate with development and operations teams to understand the requirements for observability and monitoring of their services.
Design, implement, and maintain monitoring, logging, and tracing solutions that enable us to identify and resolve issues quickly.
Enable and leverage the observability practice.
Act as a fellow squad member.
Promote and leverage near-zero manual actions in the administration and upgrade of systems, together with the development of incident automatic responses.
Design, implement, and maintain monitoring, logging, and tracing solutions using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Jaeger, etc.
Ensure that observability and monitoring systems are set up to provide actionable insights to improve system stability, performance, and availability.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to observability systems, including data quality, system availability, and performance.
Continuously evaluate new and emerging observability technologies and tools, and make recommendations for their adoption.
Develop and maintain documentation on observability systems and procedures.
REQUIREMENTS At least 3 years of experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining monitoring, logging, and tracing solutions.
EDUCATION Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE Solid knowledge in public clouds AWS, Azure, GCP.
Experience with tools such as Netcool, Dynatrace, Devo, Netscout, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Jaeger, etc.
Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and containerization.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience in dealing with large data sets.
Proficient in English language.
Understanding of data modeling and data warehousing concepts.
