We want to deliver a completely new digital experience to our customers and for this, we need the most qualified professionals to join us.Open Digital Services is the tech company behind the leading digital banks and fintechs operating across Europe and North/South America.DevOps Engineers are IT professionals who collaborate with software developers to manage code releases and operate and monitor the health of applications. They design and implement solutions to automate code release, enhance the platform to use new AWS functionalities, and provision new architecture for new projects that solutions architects design.DevOps Engineers implement changes to the AWS platform in an automated fashion using infrastructure-as-code (IaC) and configuration management technology. They deploy new services and update and complete fixes in the production environment.Observability Engineers have the knowledge of identifying service flows based on metrics, traces, and logs and give additional value to the data they get from different APM and technical monitoring tools. They are responsible for creating alerts and technical dashboards that help IT professionals to detect incidents as soon as possible and identify the root cause of problems to reduce the time to resolve them. You will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic and independent team of engineers and other areas such as Architecture, QA, Product Management, and Delivery to design and develop advanced capabilities.Observability Engineer candidates should have the following skills:Creating cloud-based infrastructure required by the software team in AWS.Administering and configuring observability tools.Creating and maintaining scripts to automate tasks done in the observability tools.Maintaining security compliance like password secrets, using least privilege policy.Providing direct support during various operations such as deployment and general production.Collaborating with developers and DevOps to ensure that new environments meet requirements and conform to best practices.Defining several types of alerts (OpsGenie alerts) that monitor system health and report any issues; when they occur, the DevOps team takes ownership of the issues and resolves them or escalates them to the proper team.Cost savings/cost optimization is a huge part of their activities.Specific experience and knowledge:Experience in APM and monitoring tools (Dynatrace, ElasticSearch, AppDynamics, Splunk, Grafana).Experience in observability extensions (Opentelemetry, Micrometer, Telegraf, Prometheus).Strong background in system automation and Linux administration.Expertise in container technologies including ECS, EKS, Fargate, Docker, or Kubernetes.Experience with three-layer architectures: web (Apache), engine (Tomcat/Spring), and database (MySQL, PostgreSQL, ORACLE, and NoSQL databases).Understanding of cloud computing concepts and design considerations using modern patterns such as infrastructure as code or ephemeral servers (AWS).Strong coding skills (shell script (bash), Python, JavaScript).Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems.
