This position is located at TAIYO GOLF CLUB.Candidates selected for this position will serve as a GOLF COURSE MARSHAL/BEVERAGE CART ATTENDANT for MCCS.Major Duties:DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:The incumbent acts as Golf Course Marshal and/or starter to control the flow of play and enforce the rules governing play. Explains the rules of play as necessary to golfers and/or patrons.Maintains, cleans, and ensures the golf course is in proper order for patrons' usage. Makes minor repairs, replaces directional chains, cart signs, markers, as needed. Reports all discrepancies and complex situations, which the incumbent is unable to correct to the supervisor.Ensures the water coolers are properly maintained and checked for cleanliness and refilled as needed. Ensures cup dispensers are available on the cooler stand with cups filled for refreshment purposes.Opens and closes the golf course, gates, chains, and other means of access to the golf course. Issues and assigns golf carts for patron usage.Ensures the golf carts are returned, cleaned, and parked in the designated area.Picks up and cleans driving range golf balls. Makes sure the ball machine and all baskets are full.Maintains the cleanliness of the driving range facility.Schedules advance golf tee times for patrons. Responsible for the support of Tournament Director and/or Chairman during various golf tournaments and related golf events at Taiyo Golf Club.Sets up the beverage cart with drinks such as water, sports drinks, hot coffee, alcoholic beverages, packed snacks, etc., and drives throughout the golf course to sell food and beverage items to patrons. Makes coffee according to the number of servings desired. Checks patrons' identification to ensure that they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages.Responsible for a change fund and the accountability of monies from sales. Prepares accurate daily activity records and other associated paperwork. Stocks and inventories snacks, beverages, and other items on a daily basis.Reports all unusual and complex matters to supervisor.Responsible for cleaning and returning the cart to the designated area. Follows established standards and policies for carrying out assigned phases of designated activity to include alcohol serving, cash handling, selling, stocking, and storing items.#J-18808-Ljbffr
