Head Chef for Refugee's Vessel Project in Netherlands Location: Various cities in Netherlands
Employment Type: Permanent Contract (Initial 6-month Cyprus Contract with option for Dutch Contract based on performance)
Working Hours: 8 hours per day, 5 days a week (2 days off)
Benefits: Permanent employment + 2.500 Euros Net Salary + Single Cabin Accommodation + Food + €300 Relocation expenses reimbursement + 1.7 holidays paid per month
About the Project: We are seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to join our team on board a ship accommodating 100-150 Ukrainians war refugees. With a dedicated team of 10-15 staff members on each ship, our mission is to provide quality meals and a nurturing environment.
ResponsibilitiesOversee kitchen operations on board, ensuring high standards of food quality and safety.Execute daily buffet-style meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) for up to 150 individuals, following a menu that has been set by the corporative chef.Collaborate with a culinary team composed of a Sous Chef, Chef de Partie, Dishwashers, and a Prep Cook to ensure efficient workflow and meal service.Report directly to the Hotel Manager on board regarding kitchen operations and staff management.Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations.Assist in training and supervising kitchen staff.Prepare and cook a variety of soups, salads, main courses, and desserts as per the menu guidelines provided.RequirementsProven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar senior role in large-scale food preparation.Strong leadership and management skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Knowledge of food safety regulations.English spoken.Available to start: December 2024 - January 2025
