Job Description: The in-house legal counsel will be part of the General Counsel's Office and will be based in Madrid.
In this position, you will work cooperatively with colleagues in the Madrid, Amsterdam, and USA offices, in-house lawyers from business divisions based in various countries, external advisors, and colleagues from several corporate departments, such as IT and Innovation.
Main Responsibilities: Provide legal advice on a wide range of topics with a focus on IT/IP and innovation-related matters, including the preparation and negotiation of various commercial agreements (MoUs, MSAs, SaaS, license agreements, etc.).
Advise and coordinate matters regarding trademarks, patents, and internet domain names.
Advise on corporate law matters of several group subsidiaries.
Be involved in corporate and financial transactions and restructurings.
Requirements: You are a qualified lawyer with at least 4-5 years of experience.
You have solid knowledge of corporate and commercial law and relevant experience in IT/IP related contracts, gained in a reputable law firm and/or legal department of a multinational company.
You are capable of working with a considerable degree of autonomy.
You can bridge cultural differences and are challenged by working frequently with colleagues abroad.
You are fluent in both English and Spanish.
You have a high level of energy, are willing to learn continuously, and are used to working under pressure.
