Job Description Summary: As a Mechanical Bearings and Hydraulic Engineer, you will own the design of key components used in world-class generators for the offshore wind market, such as large bearings, lubrication systems, brakes, and locking systems. You will work on the design, calculation, and validation of mechanical systems that meet product requirements while maintaining the highest standards of EHS, quality, delivery, and cost. You will be part of a multidisciplinary and diverse engineering team and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders through all the product development phases from concept to field.

Roles and Responsibilities:
You will be accountable for some mechanical systems (bearings, lubrication system, brake systems, locking system) from initial definition to field validation.You will work together with the product design engineers (PDEs) to develop the engineering specifications and BOMs of your design.You will work with external suppliers, coordinate, review, and approve their designs to match your specifications.You will manage and mitigate the technical risks associated with your components through the project gates and product lifecycle using systematic methodologies such as DFMEAs and the creation and follow-up of validation plans.You will work with the supply chain organization to ensure your designs become real with the required quality and at the target time and cost.You will work with production and service organizations on problem-solving and continuous improvement topics.Qualifications/Requirements:
Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university.5 years of experience in structural and mechanical design.Experience in large bearings and hydraulic systems.Technical coordination capability to deal with suppliers.Positive mindset with excellent verbal and written communication skills.Fluent in English (spoken and written).Desired Characteristics:
Experience in the Wind sector.Experience with structural FE assessments.Additional Information:
