About the Position
Position summary: The Sales Application Specialist (SAS) of Healthcare IT Solutions is responsible for ensuring the specialized sales of Werfen IT products, guaranteeing customer satisfaction and an excellent level of service, while identifying new business opportunities.
The aim of this role is to provide efficiency, profitability, and ensure the sustainability of BU HITS.
Main Responsibilities:
Understand customer needs to provide solutions, establish long-term relationships, and support KAMs.Maintain a high level of service to maximize customer satisfaction and operations' profitability.Possess technical knowledge to ensure solutions meet customer needs and expectations.Be involved in pre-sales, sales, implementation (occasionally), and sales of evolutions.Manage different stakeholders (internal and external).Serve as a point of reference in IT solutions selling and projects, with knowledge of products, project and technology management, and competitors.The Healthcare IT Solutions Sales Application Specialist (SAS) position will initially report to the BUHITS Business Unit Manager and will report to Area Managers once the pilot is finished.
Key Responsibilities:
External Responsibilities:Identify new customers and promote the transition to Werfen IT solutions.Build confidence with decision-makers during initial interactions.Generate business with new and existing clients, applying IT knowledge and negotiation skills.Prepare customers to understand the level of service Werfen can offer during and after implementation.Advise on evolutionary services selling and manage service levels post-implementation.Gather initial requirements for project sizing.Define project scope and service levels.Create offers and calculate profitability.Present economic and project proposals to clients in coordination with KAM.Lead bid response preparation with KAM and relevant stakeholders.Participate in defining project scope and planning.Participate in implementation project kick-off and steering committees.Manage scope and changes related to it.Accountable for risk and deviation management.Ensure quality control of project execution in coordination with the Project Manager.Manage conflicts during the kick-off phase.Participate in project closure.Internal Responsibilities: Act as a bridge between marketing, IT Operations, and the area.Liaise with internal stakeholders to support IT solution sales strategy.Achieve established business and operational objectives.Promote company regulations and quality policies.Guarantee adherence to the company's Code of Ethics.Key Internal Relationships: Collaboration with BU Healthcare IT Solutions roles, especially Product Managers, IT Ops Area Managers, and Project Managers.Relationship with Sales roles, especially Key Account Managers and Area Managers.Communication with Service, especially IT Support.Minimum Knowledge and Experience Required:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, Industrial Engineering, or similar.Mid-level vocational training in Microcomputer and Network Systems or Operating IT Systems.Bachelor's degree or similar in Health Sciences (Medicine, Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biology, Biomedical Engineering, or related discipline).Clinical Specialist in Laboratory Medicine, Clinical Chemistry, Microbiology, Immunology, Hematology, or Clinical Pathology.Mid-level vocational training in Laboratory Technician or High-level vocational training in Clinical and Biomedical Laboratory Technician.Experience: Experience in IT projects within Clinical Laboratories and/or hospital environments.Experience in IT Project Management.Experience in managing Clinical Laboratories and defining associated global processes.Additional Skills/Knowledge: Commercial acumen.Interpersonal skills.Assertiveness.Active communication.Conflict management.Customer focus.Negotiation skills.Functional Knowledge: Knowledge of Labs organization and general flows.Understanding of IT products and their specific modules.Knowledge of principal competitors.Ability to translate functional requirements into integrations.Knowledge of laboratory catalog and specific processes.Technical Knowledge: Project management knowledge, especially in scope, change management, and project closing.Knowledge and/or experience in system architecture and virtualization.Experience in database administration and application servers.Experience with communication protocols, interoperability platforms, and data migration.Languages: Fluent in Spanish.Fluent English is recommended.Skills and Competencies: Good communication and relational skills.High degree of autonomy and proactivity.Flexible attitude and ability to work in teams.Time management skills and results-oriented.Analytical skills.Mobility: Daily work in the Area; up to 20% in Iberia, mainly Barcelona.
