Our Finance team is growing and we are looking for a Junior Accountant to work in our Headquarters in Barcelona performing accounting activities in accordance with accounting principles and standards for the control of the organization's financial resources and ensuring that such information complies with all regulations, laws, and reporting requirements.
Job Duties And Responsibilities: General accounting of the company (supplier, accruals, invoices, fixed assets, income, and expenses).
Processing invoices and receipts and review its correct coding within the accounting records.
Control approval of expenses/invoices and ensure compliance with company policies.
Assisting with Bank accounting and reconciliations.
Monitor and prepare the cash reconciliations to ensure proper accounting and financial reporting.
Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
Manage and monitor all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate local GAAP / IFRS standards and regulatory requirements.
Support in the preparation and presentation of the different tax obligations in Spain.
Support in the month-end and year-end close process.
Perform monthly Inter-Company Reconciliations.
Assisting with annual audit preparations.
Experience And Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business management, accounting, or related field.
Minimum 1 year of accounting experience in a multinational environment.
Knowledge of Spanish GAAP.
Knowledge of local tax compliance regulations and reporting.
Excellent knowledge in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel.
Strong understanding of economic and banking processes.
Understanding & working knowledge of Oracle/ Netsuite preferable.
Knowledge of IFRS will be a plus.
