As Solar PV Cost Estimation & Bid Manager (f/m/d), you will perform detailed cost estimations for Solar PV projects including main equipment (modules, trackers, inverters), external contractors/suppliers for solutions and systems, and internal services.
You will also drive the bid preparation, including operationalizing the bid timeline and preparation of bid packages as part of a capture team.

How You'll Make an Impact
Estimate project costing (CAPEX and OPEX) per required scope by using in-house tools, historic cost data, and future market outlook for price/cost development in Solar PV EPC and O&M markets.
Drive bid preparation and submission of documentation in close alignment with the leading Area Sales Manager and Commercial Sales Management, acting as the main interface between the Solar PV capture team and Procurement.
Drive and prepare EPC qualification packages with end-customers (Utilities, IPPs).
Manage interactions with suppliers in strong alignment with the Procurement function.
Align costing of all involved suppliers, services, and sub-contractors on projects to optimize the cost position (e.g., by cost review and cost-out meetings).
Work directly with Sales, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Execution, and Services Teams to obtain their costing feedback for building the estimate and updating existing proposal and cost models.
Audit and analyze actual costs with estimated costs to determine if variances exist.
Initiate corrective action on any discrepancies and implement lessons learned.
Align cost position with project schedule and execution planning/logistic plan.
Consider global commercial costing rules like transfer pricing, currency management, etc.
Track historic bids and quotations in a database to develop an empirical basis for upcoming bids.
Join contract negotiations, support systematic documentation, and communication of the negotiation results to ensure achievement of the planned volume of new orders in line with the stipulated positive margin.
Support handover of successful project acquisitions to Project Management teams and provide support as required.
Implement Siemens Energy project management guidelines to ensure high-quality bids including risk mitigation.
10 - 20% business travel (international & domestic).
What You Bring
Bachelor's degree and above; Master or PhD is a plus, major in Engineering and additional qualification in Finance/Accounting.
6+ years of experience in the renewable energy industry and EPC environment.
4+ years of experience related to Cost/Bidding, Procurement, or Engineering for large PV tenders.
Outstanding track record in Utility-scale Solar PV business with focus on costing for EPC and O&M.
Knowledge of contract law (local & international), compliance rules & regulations, and claim management.
Experience in multiple stakeholder management (internal and external).
