To meet the changing needs of our growing business,we are looking for a Junior Accountant to join us and work within the financial department in Barcelona, reporting to the European Finance Manager, covering tasks for entities in several European countries.The position:We are seeking a talented Junior Accountant to join our growing accounting team. You will be part of building scalable accounting processes to support our global growth. You will be performing monthly close activities including balance sheet reconciliations, bookkeeping, payments, and managing approval workflows. You will be working closely with all members of the accounting team and be part of process improvements and automation, providing advice on accounting implications.What you will be doing:Accounting of general ledger and bank transactions.Bookkeeping of supplier vouchers, supplier invoices, and bank payments in our accounting system NetSuite.Assist in supplier invoice registration and allocation of supplier invoices with correct GL accounts, cost center, business unit, and VAT code.Assist in reconciliation of supplier and vendor invoices and ensuring appropriate level of authorization for disbursement in accordance with approval matrix.Communication with customers and vendors about payments and reminders.Assist in VAT, wage tax, and other tax control procedures for different entities in different countries.Assist in monthly balance sheet reconciliation.Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, communicating and escalating relevant issues to the Finance team and leading initiatives for process improvement within the finance department.Who you are:In order to be successful in this role, you will need to have a positive and open mentality.
