.Nursing AssistantAFC Band 3 (pro rata) plus a High Secure Environmental Allowance of £1,679.10 per annum (pro rata) and a High Secure Clinical Responsibility Allowance of £4,030.01 per annum (pro rata)Hours Available - Full Time and Part time*Contract Duration – Fixed Term Contract until 31 March 2026Please note that successful candidates must be available to attend a two-week mandatory induction and training course commencing on 17 March 2025.Post Details -A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen to join the nursing team at the State Hospital.
You will support registered nursing staff to deliver high quality, person-centered care for patients with mental health illness and learning disability in a forensic environment.It is essential that you have an SVQ III in healthcare, or working towards, or equivalent experience working within a caring mental health or learning disability environment.You will be able to demonstrate an ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Effective written and verbal communication skills are an essential part of this role as is the ability to carry out assigned patient care tasks effectively within a busy environment.You will have a working knowledge of basic information technology.An attractive work-life balance is supported by the successful candidate's shift pattern, which centres around a 4 days on and 2 days off shift pattern, with shifts being generated up to 12 weeks in advance.
