As a Finance Trainee in our Collections Team, your primary focus will be on overseeing and improving our collections processes, ensuring timely payments from clients, and minimizing outstanding debts. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, possesses strong communication skills, and is keen to develop a career in finance.What You Will Do: Key responsibilities include:Account Management : Monitor client accounts for delayed payments, discrepancies, and other irregularities.Engage with customers to confirm receipt of invoices and understand any issues delaying payment.Collection Efforts : Negotiate payment plans with delinquent accounts while maintaining positive client relationships.Record and track communication with clients regarding payment status.Reporting & Analysis : Prepare and analyze regular reports on aged receivables and collection activities.Analyze trends in payment behaviors and identify potential risks.Collaboration : Work closely with the sales and customer service teams to resolve billing discrepancies.Coordinate with legal departments for serious delinquencies requiring external intervention.Process Improvement : Contribute to improvements in collection processes and strategies to increase efficiency.Assist in implementing new tools and technologies for collections and account management.Training & Development : Participate in training sessions to enhance financial knowledge and collection skills.Stay updated on legal and regulatory changes affecting collections.What You'll need: Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a relevant field.Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel; familiarity with accounting software is a plus.Fluent in Spanish & Very good command of English. Knowledge of Portuguese is a plus.Strong communication and negotiation skills.Detail-oriented with an aptitude for numbers.Basic understanding of billing and collections procedures.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
