Make your mark for patients We are looking for a Senior Legal Counsel who is analytic, team player and strategic thinker to join us in our Neurology Europe team, based in our Madrid's office in Spain.About the role As the Senior Legal Counsel you will be responsible for providing legal support to UCB's global Neurology portfolio in Europe.
You will have the opportunity to contribute to transformational initiatives supporting brand agnostic projects such as Patient Experience, and certain European digital projects.
You will counsel and provide strategic advice on the positioning of new medicines and associated services including on business strategy, development programs, promotional campaigns and materials and public announcements/press releases.Who you'll work with You will be part of the team focusing on Neurology (including Epilepsy, Movement Disorders and Rare Diseases); this role will provide legal support to all elements of the cross-functional teams responsible for launch, commercialization and life cycle management of Neurology products and services in Europe.What you'll doYou'll guide new business models, social media initiatives, digital projects and new forms of interactions with patients, healthcare professionals, payers and other customers.You'll prepare for new product launches and supporting regulatory, pricing and reimbursement initiatives.You'll lead the drafting and negotiation of a wide range of commercial agreements and scientific collaborations in relation to the on-going needs of relevant teams.You'll advise on key business initiatives in Market Research, Real World Evidence and medical education/congresses.You'll work with Business Development and other functions as required to maximize life cycle management opportunities.Interested?
For this role we're looking for the following education, experience and skills:Minimum of 5 years legal experience as a licensed attorney in life sciences or as in-house lawyer in a pharmaceutical/biotech company, with a respective broad business-related skillset.You have the ability to analyse complex legal issues and handle multiple, often complex projects simultaneously.You possess exceptional and diversified legal skills in managing all matters pertaining to a variety of projects and client groups in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry.Business acumen, intellectual bandwidth and acumen to provide outstanding business-oriented solutions; with a deep industry knowledge.You are able to simplify complex situations, demonstrate a well-structured thought process, and make sound judgments.You have strong communication skills and the ability to interact easily with all levels within the organization.Are you ready to 'go beyond' to create value and make your mark for patients?
