KEY RESPONSIBILITIESAs a Non-Financial Risk Oversight (2LoD) Senior Manager, you will be responsible for the oversight of the Risk Profile of PagoNXT Payments business, a payments processing business undergoing rapid transformation and growth.
The core responsibility will be designing, evolving, and implementing significant sections of the risk framework and supporting risk toolsets/methodology, in line with the strategic direction agreed with the Head of Risk & Compliance.
Your primary focus will be on the core technology and operations, although the oversight of significant change projects and new product and service introductions are also in scope.
EXPERIENCE- Minimum 8 years of experience in Risk management, Risk governance, and control roles in Financial Services, particularly in the payments sector.
- Experience operating at a senior level with knowledge and authority to effectively review and challenge senior stakeholders.
- Ideally, the experience should cover both 'Line 1' and 'Line 2' risk roles, i.e., experience in development and implementation of risk control frameworks and methodologies, as well as hands-on management of risks within the business.
EDUCATION- Degree level education, with relevant academic qualifications desirable.
Recognised risk professional qualifications/certifications are beneficial but not a must, as practical experience will be prioritised.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE- English language essential, Spanish desirable but not required.
- Strong knowledge in payments services and technology, and latest industry developments.
- Strong knowledge of all major components of an effective risk framework from design to practical implementation, and up-to-date knowledge of industry-leading best practices in risk management.
- Proven track record in developing and implementing risk frameworks and risk tools/methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of applicable external regulations such as PSD II, OCIR, Operational Resilience, GDPR, EBA Outsourcing, and other relevant supervisory statements.
- Proven ability to learn and develop new knowledge and skills at the intersection of Payments, Regulation, Technological developments, including in closely related disciplines in IT & Cyber risks.
- Proven ability to translate and distil complex technical knowledge into practical/innovative risk management outcomes that are appropriate and right-sized for the maturity and size of the business.
- Ability to contribute to the technical and personal development of Risk & Compliance team members and educate and train key roles in the business.
