Deploying our experts' skills, our depth in data, analytical precision, and geographical reach, we are shaping the future of global mobility together with our clients.DepartmentThe RoleThe role is specifically responsible for the creation, management, and support of Autovista Group's databases, comprising MS SQL, MySQL, MariaDB, MongoDB, Oracle, Informix, and Cloud-hosted databases, across various environments including Development, Test, and Live. The Database Team works closely with the Linux, Windows, Network, and Infrastructure Teams, to ensure that the environments are performing to expectation. The team supports the Level 2/3 support teams and the Applications Developers. A key role is to support project initiatives, database design, and establish database standards. The role is a hands-on DBA Manager role, with a primary focus on managing and supporting the MS SQL, MySQL, MariaDB, Oracle, and MongoDB databases across the Autovista Group. You will have Database Administration experience in capacity planning, installation, configuration, database design, migration, performance monitoring and tuning, security, troubleshooting, as well as managing how the data is stored, ensuring data backup and data recovery routines are effective. The role requires someone who is enthusiastic, has expert knowledge in MS SQL, MySQL/MariaDB, and MongoDB, Cloud, and ideally other database technologies such as Oracle and Informix. A can-do attitude is required to be able to look at the current environment and plan how to move it forward, bringing in appropriate technologies as required - clustering etc. to ensure the supportability and manageability of the environment.
