MissionAs the Project Manager (Launch Site) for the MIURA 5 Launch System Program your mission is to oversee and coordinate all aspects of the launch site design, construction, integration, testing and exploitation.
ResponsibilitiesLead the planning, design, and construction phases of the launch site, ensuring adherence to schedule, budget, and quality standards.Coordinate with engineering teams to develop and implement innovative solutions for launch site infrastructure and systems.Manage relationships with contractors, suppliers, and government agencies involved in launch site activities.Plan the maintenance and upgrade of launch site facilities, equipment, and support systems.Develop and implement operational procedures and protocols to ensure safe and efficient launch operations.Collaborate with mission control and launch operations teams to coordinate launch schedules and activities.Monitor and mitigate risks associated with launch site operations, including environmental, safety, and security risks.Interface with stakeholders, including customers, regulatory agencies, and international partners, to ensure alignment and compliance with project goals and requirements.Prepare regular reports and updates on launch site status, performance, and milestones.Generate documentation for formal program development reviews.Provide high-level and low-level feedback for MIURA 5 program development planning.Necessary RequirementsBachelor's degree in engineering or related field.Demonstrated experience managing engineering projects.Proficiency in project management tools and techniques, including scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.Experience with international collaboration projects and working in multicultural environments.Desired RequirementsAbility to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, evaluate options, and implement effective solutions.Proven track record of working effectively in multidisciplinary teams and building productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Sound judgment and decision-making abilities, especially in high-pressure situations.Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements, priorities, and constraints.
