(Nkp657) Design Engineering For Mdo

As part of Germany & Spain Space MDO, she/he is responsible for management of the assigned projects in a multidisciplinary environment. This includes generating mechanical and thermal design solutions for different types of products (Launchers, payload adaptors, mechanisms, and antennas). In detail, the following tasks need to be covered:
Ability to design structural components and assemblies that are optimized in terms of weight, cost, performance, production/assembly requirements while ensuring the highest safety of the product using appropriate design tools.
Ability to verify the compliance of a detailed design solution toward the baseline of validated requirements for a single sub-system/equipment/component/module.
Generation of design solutions using space tools such as Catia, Smarteam, BAAN IV, Windchill, etc.
Experience with new design tools such as 3D experience and additive manufacturing is considered an asset.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
Degree or equivalent in an Engineering discipline with a working background in the Aerospace industry.
Practical experience (more than 5 years) in the mechanical design of space systems. Desired knowledge in thermal and electrical design.
Excellent working knowledge and experience of CATIA V5. Desired understanding of Functional Tolerancing & Annotations (FTA).
Practical understanding of design solutions for spacecraft and launchers.
Drive for continuous improvement in all aspects of work.
Able to work well in an integrated collaborative team environment including daily interactions with technicians, engineers, and managers.
Proactive attitude towards knowledge sharing.
Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
Self-motivated and directed with attention to detail.
Creativity and problem-solving skills.
Languages: Strong written & oral communication skills (English is mandatory, and Spanish is an asset).
