The company is focused on making packaging that is increasingly lightweight, recyclable and reusable, and made using a rising amount of recycled content.Position Overview: The position is responsible for providing strategic leadership to the manufacturing facilities in North America, including the development and execution of effective operational strategies such as Safety, Quality, Continuous Improvement, and overall operational excellence. The position is accountable for successful plant performance, including annual objectives, financial performance & targeted profit, and planning & organization of production.Essential Responsibilities and Duties:Lead the operational strategy in collaboration with BG/BU leadership.Lead and manage safety initiatives to achieve zero injuries in the plants.Evaluate the effectiveness of compliance programs and recommend methods to increase quality standards.Lead plant integration and consolidation with a strategic footprint mindset.Responsible for ensuring assigned plant locations achieve their P&L and plant financial performance targets, including year-over-year cost productivity improvement and KPI reporting.Collaborate with product development and supply chain teams to define manufacturing requirements in terms of capacity, quality, and service.Manage operational assets to ensure the correct mix of assets, asset upgrades, and capital for new product introduction.Allocate resources effectively to achieve operational excellence.In collaboration with Human Resources, assess the leadership and organizational capabilities necessary to achieve annual and longer-term objectives, including talent development and bench strength, rigorous performance management, and employee engagement.Qualifications:Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field; Master's degree preferred.Years of related experience in a leadership role in a manufacturing environment.Must have been successful in managing multiple plants.Packaging experience preferred.Travel +%.Key Competencies:Drives Vision & PurposeStrategic MindsetSet Priorities & Drives ResultsCustomer FocusAttracts & Develops TalentEngages People & TeamsRelationships:Internal and External CustomersDirect ReportsManufacturing co-workersR&D Co-workersThe information contained herein is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of the duties and responsibilities of the job, nor are they intended to be an all-inclusive list of the skills and abilities required to do the job.
