Your job as a Breeder:Planning of all activities of a breeding project: Translation of the set breeding targets into an operational breeding plan.Preparation of all activities of a breeding project.Execution of the activities of a breeding project: Making the right plant and line selections at critical moments in the breeding cycle.Maintenance of detailed records throughout the breeding cycles.Decision-making to advance material to R2 and planning of trial productions and screening trials.Handover of R3 material to Seed Production according to the defined specifications and registration in the designated system (currently Varmas).Implementation of developed technology and traits in the breeding program.Main internal contacts:Sales Representatives, Product Specialists - Proactively cooperate during joint market visits to obtain information on market trends and direction for product models and align the Enza message.Senior Scientist, Biotech Breeders - Stay up to date with the latest technologies.SO and Seed Production - Handover of R3 and P2 material and Producibility information to Seed Production.PAT teams - Member of a PAT team and provide input to the team.Assistant Breeders and Breeding Technicians - Exchange knowledge and material.What you bring as a Breeder:Higher professional education (HBO, Bachelor).3 to 5 years relevant experience.Bachelor of Science.Thorough knowledge of plant breeding, modern methods of breeding, and phytopathology.Well acquainted with various cultivation techniques.Sufficient market knowledge.Proficient in English and local language, both written and verbal.Good to know:This position cannot be filled on an interim basis; Enza Zaden is an equal opportunity employer and doesn't discriminate based on background, identity, or personal characteristics.
