Learnlife is seeking a Learning Guide Assistant to support the Primary Years Program in Castelldefels. The start date is either for the third term or after summer in September.Role OverviewThis is not a traditional school. There are no set classes, learners are grouped in multi-age programme groups, and there is no purchased curriculum. Our learning team co-designs learning experiences, facilitates nature- and discovery-based workshops, provides one-on-one mentoring, and collaborates with our many partners to craft a purpose-inspired, experiential, and community-engaged learning experience for all our learners.In this role, you will support the learning guides in a smooth day-to-day experience with learners. We are early in the stages of our Eco Hub's Primary Years Programme! So we are looking for someone who is collaborative, communicates well, understands the importance of strong personal relationships, and who thrives in a fast-paced, innovative, and agile environment.TasksIn your role, you will:Assist learners through daily learning experiences, as overseen by the Learning Guides, to track their growth, needs, and individualized planning.Work collaboratively with the learning team to assist in learning experiences in particular areas for all three programme groups: Adventurers (ages 5-7), Discoverers (ages 8 & 9), and Pioneers (ages 10-12).Maintain a healthy culture and climate for learners, promoting confidence, agency, and self-management skills as they become self-directed learners. Recognize when these areas are lacking and provide the support needed, in partnership with the rest of the learning team and the family.Oversee supervision and play opportunities for learners during free play, snack, and lunch.Participate in regular planning, collaboration, and professional development with the EH learning team throughout intensive design phases between cycles. During lengthier summer design sessions, work in collaboration with the Urban Hub team.Coordinate, as needed, with the larger Learnlife community, including operations, finance, and admissions.Set an example to learners of our community (Eco Hub) and company (Learnlife) values.RequirementsYou bring:Minimum 2 years experience working with 6-12 year olds.C2 level of English is a must, Spanish is very useful.You already reside close to the Learnlife Eco Hub in Castelldefels.Ability to quickly connect and build trust with children.Ability to work collaboratively and creatively in a fast-paced, agile environment.Willingness to learn from failure, ask for help when needed, embracing an iterative process.BenefitsYour CV, including a minimum of three references.
