Our client is a dynamic and rapidly growing startup based within the beauty sector in Marbella and operating within the US market. They're seeking an experienced Product Developer to join their team.
You will work closely with the business owner in developing new and innovative beauty products. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the products meet the highest standards of quality, efficacy, and market appeal. This role requires a blend of creativity, technical expertise, and project management skills.
Your responsibilities and impact working as a Product Developer will be: Product design and development:Collaborate directly with the business owner to develop innovative beauty productsConduct market research and analyze industry trends to identify opportunities for new product developmentCreate detailed product formulations, specifications, and prototypes using industry-standard tools and techniquesTest and refine prototypes, incorporating feedback from stakeholders and end-usersProject Management:Develop and manage project timelines, ensuring all milestones are met within budget and on scheduleCoordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, and other external partners to source raw materials and packaging componentsOversee the production process, from initial concept to final product launchEnsure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and quality control procedures.Collaboration and Communication:Work closely with the marketing team to develop product positioning, branding, and go-to-market strategiesCommunicate effectively with internal teams and external partners to ensure alignment and successful project executionPrepare and present regular progress reports and updates to senior managementContinuous Improvement:Monitor product performance and gather customer feedback to identify areas for improvementImplement changes and updates to existing products to enhance their efficacy, quality, and user experienceStay up-to-date with the latest industry developments, emerging technologies, and best practices in beauty product developmentSkills, qualifications and interests you need to succeed in this role: Bachelor's OR Master's degree in a related fieldProven experience in product development within the beauty industryExperience in a start-up environment is essentialLocated in or willing to relocate to Marbella or surrounding areasStrong understanding of product development processes, from ideation to commercializationExcellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work collaboratively with the business owner and other team membersKnowledge of industry standards and regulations related to beauty and personal care productsCreative thinking and a passion for beauty innovationWhat's in it for you?
