Job Title: IT Manager – Network & Telecommunications Location: Manila, Philippines; Reports to: Director IT Infrastructure Exempt or Non-Exempt: Exempt The Network COE is a global team of engineers and administrators responsible for the design, coordination, development, implementation, and maintenance of Sequential Technology International's network infrastructure and resources. The STI network consists of Virtual & Local Area Networks (VLAN/LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), SDN, Campus Fabric, and IP-based networking technologies. The Network COE delivers the essential connectivity & support services our globally distributed business requires to operate. The Telecommunications COE is responsible for the design, configuration, and support of all telecommunication platforms leveraged within the contact center and corporate environments of Sequential Tech. This global group of engineers and administrators provide consulting to internal clients on the innovative uses of telecommunications technology in support of business requirements. The successful candidate will have experience managing the daily operations of the Network & Telecommunications infrastructure & services, performing personnel management duties, and coordination of various work efforts required to meet business continuity and maintain efficient operations. This role is responsible for establishing and managing the standards & practices necessary to maintain equipment uptimes and availability, consult on new business requirements, and collaborate with internal and external customers and suppliers to ensure business continuity. The Network & Telecommunications Manager is a manager of supervisors and individual contributors. They will oversee, guide, and mentor Sequential Technology International's global network and telecommunications team members. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: Overall management of Sequential Technology International's global network & telecommunications environments; including VLAN/LAN, WAN, telecom platforms, and cloud-connected networks Ensure all network and telecommunications systems are monitored and functioning properly for continued 24x7 operations Prepare and manage disaster recovery and business continuity plans Review and manage short- and long-term network & telecommunication strategies Develop and maintain equipment & software lifecycles Manage all network & telecommunication software and hardware upgrade & replacement requirements Coordinate and collaborate with internal and external customers and vendors Manage & lead the network & telecommunication engineering and administrative teams Perform staff reviews and appraisals Manage staff schedules, workloads and prioritize task assignments Evaluate and maintain staff training plans Provide technical support and mentoring to staff Develop goals and objectives for staff Collaborate with IT managers & leadership and participate in meetings Coordinate with various departments to review and develop processes and policies Participate in IT related audits Review and assess monitoring and trend analysis reports to identify growth, improvement/enhancement areas, and problem areas affecting IT and business operations REQUIRED SKILLSETS: Standard Windows computer & Microsoft Office application experience Strong interpersonal skills Effective communication skills Effective problem solving Project management experience Negotiation skills Teamworking skills Analytical and troubleshooting skills Ability to plan and achieve goals Manage workflows Fundamental understanding of organizational business structures and operations Financial planning and budgeting experience ITIL processes and practices EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in management and/or computer related field Minimum 10 years' experience as an engineer in the network and/or telecommunications fields Minimum 5 years' experience as a manager in the network and/or telecommunications fields Experience with routing, switching, firewalls, wireless, unified communication platforms Preferred experience with Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, Extreme Networks, cloud-based network, and communication platforms ServiceNow ticketing and ITSM platforms SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY : This position manages local, remote, and overseas employees. Is responsible for performance management of direct reports and participating in hiring of the employees within the IT department. WORK ENVIRONMENT : This job operates in a professional office and/or dedicated remote environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This role also works in secure data center and co-location environments. PHYSICAL DEMANDS : The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Additionally, the employee will must be able to lift, move, and adjust computer and peripheral equipment, up to 50 lbs. POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK : This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are typically Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. This position sometimes requires long hours and weekend work when required. TRAVEL : Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
