We are a transversal IT organization operating at Flat Europe level. Our department is focused on bringing uniform IT applications to all clusters, with cutting edge technology and innovative solutions.In this position, the candidate will be part of our central European D&IT Supply Chain team in Technology team and in direct contact with development teams (offshore and onshore), functional architects, product owners. The Applicative Database Administrator plays a critical role in designing the new integration of DB services using Cloud (Azure), identifying solutions, and maintaining them (proactive performances), and doing user support.ResponsibilitiesThis position requires a blend of technical expertise, analytical skills, and security knowledge. You will play a critical role in:Design the database services on cloud (Azure) or hosted services (PaaS, IaaS)Design database services of high availability and quality depending on requirementsAdministrate and act as an expert for MSSQL servers and Oracle (less used in the landscape)Use high-speed transaction recovery techniques and backup dataTake into account the security policiesBe part of task forces to fix performance issuesBe proactive regarding performances, service-orientedAdvise developers for using frameworksEnforce and document database policies, procedures, and standardsEnsure that the platform is reliable and performant through testing, automation, and monitoringCollaborate with other technical teamsWith platforms teams (containers, software packages)With architects and developers for optimizing their experienceAct and contribute in an Agile wayProfileEducation: Master's degree in IT or a related technical field. Experience in a similar position would be an asset. Previous experience in application development is a clear advantage.
