This role reports to the Director Project Management and supports the PMO of the Amex GBT Supply Marketplace (Amex GBT's proprietary content aggregation and distribution platform). The Project Manager may be assigned to one or more projects related to the expansion of NDC to more geographies and tools, the planning and deployment of new platform features, and the management or documentation for the PMO tools and processes.
The role has accountability for project planning and project execution to help efficiently deliver our platform and features. This is a unique opportunity for the job holder to contribute to Amex GBT's NDC growth strategy.
What You'll DoDefine & maintain deployment project plans, define milestones and create project schedules, ensuring timely completion of all workstream tasks.Partner with commercial stakeholders to define rollout plans & phases– including pilots.Understand and help communicate exception criteria.Document and manage dependencies, risks, and issues, ensuring NDC is deployed with a do no harm approach to other products and processes.Manage communication of deployment plans, issues, risks, and escalations with business stakeholders throughout the project.Analyze project stakeholders and manage stakeholder expectations.Engage with global teams to ensure alignment with project scope and timelines.Provide professional and detailed status reports on project deliverables.Communicate and represent project status in cross-functional steering committee meetings to multiple levels of the organization - if requested.Provide NDC deployment and project management expertise when engaging with partner teams.Identify and remove obstacles for NDC on all projects to ensure timely completion.Coordinate & host project meetings and send meeting notes with clear action items and timelines.Contribute to the continuous improvement of the team's project management tools and processes.Maintain strong relationships with counterparts from all teams.Limited travel may be required.What We're Looking For5+ years travel industry experience, solid understanding of airline data flows and tools in the travel industry ecosystem, familiarity with NDC, travel management.Travel operations or TMC experience is a plus.PMP Certification, 5+ years project management, coordination, planning, and organizational skills.Proven experience with agile, waterfall, and hybrid project management methodologies.Smartsheet Certification, demonstrated advanced user skills, including setting up tools and processes in Smartsheet.Excellent process documentation skills.
