Department Description: Within Atradius ITS, the Credit Insurance Service Delivery (CISD) is in charge of planning and managing all applications and programmes specific to Credit Insurance.
The team manages these applications in a BusDevOps manner.
Job Description: As an Application Engineer, you will provide the technical skills to create and validate effective solutions in the context of the Atradius application ecosystem.
Application Engineers design, code, and automate the testing of our technical solutions, choosing the most effective ways of working and implementation in accordance with our architecture.
The Application Engineers work in Asset teams in a DevOps way, closely cooperating with Product Owners, Asset Owners, Analysts, and internal and external Engineers to manage and implement the lifecycle of the Asset as well as running and operating it.
Qualifications: 4+ years of experience as Developer or Application Engineer.Excellent hands-on skills in developing experience with Java 11+, Spring Boot, Microservices, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA/JDBC, Git, Maven, RDBMS (Oracle DB, MySQL, SQL Server).Experience with Unit and Integration testing and test automation.Hands-on experience with Software Design Patterns, Docker, or Kubernetes (K8S or OpenShift).Experience with monitoring and alerting (Elastic-ELK/Prometheus/Grafana).Experience in the Scrum application development lifecycle and the tools engaged in CI/CD, e.g., for DevOps.Understanding messaging platforms (i.e., Kafka, EMS, ActiveMQ, and/or IBM MQ).Strong moderation skills including sessions with non-technical participants.Readiness to be on call outside office hours within a roster.The successful applicant could be required to travel (mainly between the Unit's locations) for short periods of time, as and when the need arises.Applicant should be prepared to work 1 day/week in our offices.Right to work in the EU and the UK.High English level, but additional language skills (in particular Spanish) will also be valuable.Good to have: Sound knowledge of the relevant legacy programming tools and languages like Oracle DB, PL/SQL, SQL, SOA/XML, Oracle forms are of benefit.
