We are committed to seeing healthcare not as it is, but as it should be.Key responsibilities for this role include:Responsibility for development of the Medical Plan/Strategy for Viatris in the areas and products under his/her responsibility.Provide support to all relevant departments/functions in the related therapeutic area to facilitate a concise, accurate and impartial dissemination of medical information in Spain.Prepare and deliver training sessions for other departments, related to the therapeutic area and/or assigned products.Review and approval of promotional materials for the allocated therapeutic area and scientific external communications.Lead the development of studies from initiation until publication and evaluate initiated investigator studies in the correspondent therapeutic area.People management: oversight and develop people in his/her team.
Coach and develop competencies leadership expectations of the different team members by organizing regular follow-up moments such as face-to-face, team meetings and align with medical leadership: Actively participate with HR to the Annual Development Plan of team members.Coordination and execution of medical budget.Support in driving local medical team to the next level by leveraging new opportunities, including real-world evidence, digital approaches or others, into the medical team.
Team spirit role with focus on stronger together.The minimum qualifications for this role are:Experience in the pharmaceutical industry for at least 5 years in positions of MSL, Medical Advisor, and at least 2 years as Medical Manager.A Medical degree or a bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline.Basic understanding of clinical and statistical research methods.Basic knowledge of the processes involved in clinical/scientific research publication.Basic knowledge of the international, European, and local regulations that apply to the different types of clinical studies.Basic knowledge of budget/finances.Excellent written and oral communication skills and networking.Knowledge of PC operating (Microsoft Office).Spanish language skills – Proficiency level.
English language skills - Advanced level.Professional integrity, knowledge, application and promotion of the compliance and legal rules in force.Competencies:Strong Organizational Skills, ability to be flexible and prioritize multiple demands.Demonstration of seniority, credibility, impact and influence.Excellent Communication and Presentation Skills (oral written).Able to function in a fast-moving multinational/matrix environment.Convincing personality for the local Viatris business model.Knowledge of local regulations in promotional conduct, safety reporting and deep understanding of the local health environment including its structure, policy, reimbursement processes, key members and scientific societies.Driven by Learning Personal Development (to risk management, authorizations as Responsible Person for Medical Information Promotion).Viatris is an equal opportunity employer.
