Explore breakthrough processes or science-driven solutions that are patentable and bring competitive advantage.
Continuously build knowledge of the latest trends in biotransformation, especially in fermentation, enzymes, and protein engineering.
Contribute to patent drafting and scientific substantiation of patent claims.
Define Technology Transfer plans in collaboration with the Technology Transfer Manager, ensure resources and anticipate needs.
Engage in fundamental research with academic and research partners to address key scientific challenges.
Develop and build strong relations with academic and Tech Research partners.
Contribute to scientific publications and presentation of results in international scientific conferences.
Document knowledge about the latest methods and scientific advancements in Biochemistry.Project People Management: Define Biotransformation ST focus areas, resources, and equipment needs.
Coach and guide Junior Scientists, Food Tech Researchers, and PhD / MS students.
Promote cross-fertilization of ideas and technologies between the different ST Pillars.Technical Assistance: Provide subject matter expertise to the Product Development team and Operations.
Active involvement in scaling up / implementation activities when needed.
Deliver technical support to both Product Development Operations to ensure smooth implementation of developed Technologies.Requirements:You will rock at this role if:Care about our mission and see it as a personal problem to be solved professionally.Scientist II: A Ph.D. in biochemistry, biology, biochemical engineering or other relevant study and +7 years of postgraduate or industry (Tech research) experience.
Research experience in fermentation and/or enzymes.
Knowledge and/or research experience in molecular biology and protein engineering (bacterial and fungal).
Knowledge in protein structure-function relationships, protein assays and bioinformatic analysis.
Knowledge or experience in gene regulation studies is a plus.
