In this role, you will manage the day-to-day coordination and administration of the security operation in the Spain Region.
This position will report to the Regional Security Manager, Southern Europe, based in Paris.
It is ideal if you will reside within easy commuting distance of the Madrid office, Spain, to be able to respond in the event of an emergency.
This position includes providing on-call and physical operational support, investigation of cases of theft and other criminal acts, providing support to the company's Violence in the Workplace programme, and ensuring the operational security function in the region within the framework of security policies and procedures.
You will also be involved in Crisis Response and Fire & Emergency procedures.
The position requires a minimum of five years in a security or related industry, with security experience in a similar environment.
You should have excellent interpersonal skills and a good understanding of verbal and written Spanish and English, as well as being computer literate.
There will be a requirement to interact with individuals at all levels of the organisation.
What you will do:
Lead all aspects of day-to-day Security Services operations at offices in Madrid; consequently, the incumbent should be registered as a "chief of security" and have all certification from the Spanish Interior Ministry.Maintain close liaison with local landlords and all business departments and ensure that they are kept fully informed of all security policies, procedures, and standards, as appropriate.Gather intelligence in relation to security risk and current trends which could threaten the security of Amex staff and assets in the region.Work in full alignment with the Manager - Head of Global security and investigations (Head of Function in Spain).Conduct security audits and SAM reviews with recommendations to senior business leaders.
