This medical professional combines general medical knowledge with specialized expertise in dermatological conditions.
Job Responsibilities: Patient Consultations: Conduct thorough consultations with patients to understand their medical history and skin-related concerns.
Perform physical examinations focused on dermatological issues.
Diagnosis and Treatment: Diagnose various skin conditions, including but not limited to dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, acne, skin cancer, and infectious diseases.
Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans, which may involve medications, topical treatments, minor surgical procedures, or referrals to specialists.
Collaboration and Referrals: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients with complex conditions.
Refer patients to specialized dermatologists or other healthcare providers when necessary.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, including patient histories, examination findings, treatment plans, and follow-up notes.
Telemedicine: Embrace and utilize telemedicine platforms to provide remote consultations and follow-ups.
Qualifications: Medical Degree: Completion of a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or equivalent degree from an accredited medical school or university.
Residency Training in Dermatology: Completion of a specialized residency training program in dermatology accredited by a recognized medical board or authority.
Board Certification or Equivalent Qualification: Board certification in dermatology from a recognized medical board, or proof of successful completion of an equivalent certification examination recognized by the Health Authority Abu Dhabi (HAAD) or Dubai Health Authority (DHA).
Valid Medical License: Possession of a valid and unrestricted medical license issued by the HAAD or DHA permitting the practice of dermatology in the UAE.
Clinical Experience: Substantial clinical experience as a dermatology specialist, preferably in a hospital, clinic, or healthcare facility in Abu Dhabi or the UAE.
