SummaryWell established and privately-owned Financial services Consulting Firm headquartered in the USA with offices in Europe and servicing US multinational companies is looking for a controlling accountant to join its financial services team located in Barcelona.Responsibilities & DutiesResponsibilities and duties shall include, but are not limited to the following:Part of a 3-4 person team performing the finance/accounting section, including ensuring proper development of junior staff.Completion of SOX activities to ensure compliance with group governance and where interacting with the group internal audit team.Timely reporting of monthly reporting, including preparing and analyzing monthly financial statements.Ensuring that all month end general ledger postings are made on a timely basis.Ensuring that all month end group reporting postings are made on a timely basis.Reconciliation of industry specific critical accounts.Ensuring good interaction with other departments in the organization and the other work streams.Overseeing relationship with tax advisors and statutory and group auditors.Strongly Preferred: SAP knowledgePreferred: IFRS knowledge, Italian and US GAAP knowledge.Qualifications/Requirements- SAP experience in the FI modules - Accounts Receivable is highly preferred.- Travelling availability (post-pandemic)- Language skills - required Czech- Above average proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word.- Effective and excellent written and verbal communication skills providing for timely and professional communication with internal and external stakeholders.- Must be organized, assertive and have the ability to complete projects according to scheduled timelines.Work Location: Barcelona, SpainSalary: 26,000.00€ - 36,000.00€ per yearWork Remotely: Yes
