N-527 - Backend Engineer

Backend Engineer - Barcelona - Long-term Contract The opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled Backend Engineer to work for a global industry company in Barcelona.

What you will do Design and development of the company's Big Data (BD) and Machine Learning (ML) platform. Evaluate, select, and build the best technology to be offered as-a-service in the Unicron platform. Support the team with high-level tech decisions, share knowledge and raise blockers and needs from the rest of the organization. Develop and implement systems using the best development practices and tools. Build highly reliable, secure, and scalable solutions for data science and machine learning, on top of a wide spectrum of technologies, e.g., AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Kubeflow, Airflow, Python, Go, GitHub, Grafana, Prometheus, CI/CD tools. Monitor and automate the operations and production of large-scale distributed systems. Requirements/Skills You have a deep understanding of systems design, algorithms, and data structures. Proven ability and experience developing software with Golang, Python or similar. Preference for re-use, collaboration, and contribution before building from scratch (InnerSource principles). Experience with AWS and/or other cloud providers. Experience with infrastructure and containers platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes. Comfortable working in an iterative incremental framework (Agile methodology). Location: Barcelona
