Position Summary: As a Demand Planner, you will play a critical role in the Sales & Operations Planning Process to drive planning consensus among the supply chain, Finance, and Commercial teams.
Your key output would be the demand forecast for the next 18 months, which would be used for supply planning and inventory management.
You will work cross-functionally with Supply Planning, Sales, Marketing, Marketing Operations, Finance, Customer Service, Regulatory & Quality.
You are the key linkage point between Canada and the Global Planning organizations, ensuring end-to-end visibility and synchronicity through the global value chain.
You will also implement monthly meetings in the S&OP Cycle (Demand Review, Supply Review) and will contribute to the maturity of the S&OP process towards Integrated Business Planning (IBP).
Responsibilities: Lead the regional S&OP process aligning communications between Commercial and Supply Chain partners and ensuring connectivity with the Business Planning process.
Own critical metrics related to Demand Planning (OTIF, forecast accuracy (MAPE, Bias, and FVA), On-time NPI launch) and support other supply chain related KPIs (Inventory, SLOB, E&O, etc.).
Review statistical forecasts generated and provide input on changes that may be required.
Collaborate with functions such as Sales, Marketing, Commercial Operations, and Finance to identify and incorporate market intelligence into the demand forecast.
Proactively identify and resolve issues affecting product flow.
Collaborate with global franchise on projects affecting the product portfolio and/or the supply network.
Partner with Field Assets Management team to find opportunities and implement solutions for field assets management optimization, if applicable.
Ensure solid partnership and end-to-end alignment with key functions, including commercial organizations, local and regional supply chain organizations (Plan, Make, Source), CLS, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, and Product Management.
Contribute to process improvement initiatives in the Demand and Supply Planning stream.
Qualifications Required: Bachelor's Degree or above.
Minimum 2-3 years' work experience in supply chain, most of which in a large-scale matrix organization.
Solid experience in managing S&OP for one or multiple categories; proven record of leading discussions with sales, marketing, and finance to align consensus demand plan.
Proficient in developing statistical forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation and horizon.
Effective communication and presentation skills with a data-driven approach.
Preferred: APICS certification (CSCP/CPIM) is an asset.
Healthcare sector experience is an asset.
Proficient in advanced analytics and data visualization software design and usage (e.g., Power BI).
Motivated teammate with the ability to collaborate and engage with multiple partners.
Highly developed organizational skills – able to handle multiple high priority tasks/projects concurrently.
Solutions-focused orientation with a bias for action.
Ability to work autonomously with limited supervision.
