HR Business Partner, Product Location: Barcelona, Spain; Work arrangement: Hybrid (works from home and New Relic office throughout the week)

The HRBP should demonstrate a passion to strategically partner with the global HRBP team, People Team, Finance, and Tech Leaders to drive an innovative and growth mindset culture.
This is an HR Business Partner role that will focus on the EMEA region (based in Barcelona) for the Engineering, Product, and Design (EPD) organization.
This role will balance business unit goals with regional complexities and HR deliverables while skillfully balancing the global strategy and execution to deliver business outcomes and a positive employee experience.
What You'll DoPrimary HR Business Partner for EPD Relics in the EMEA Region.Partners with business leaders, front line managers, and Relics in key HR lifecycle processes.Makes it a priority to lean in and understand the goals and strategies of the business and develops strategic and tactical HR plans in alignment with the goals of the business.Advises, influences, and develops people and talent strategies to drive regional and global business alignment.Acts as a coach and liaison to the leadership team for change and can thoughtfully design and implement a change management plan in a positive manner with minimal disruption to business objectives and key projects.Adheres to and/or sets new standards and upleveling of standard practices and methodologies.Analyzes data and trends and recommends, develops, and delivers on plans to improve employee experiences, including engagement, DEI, retention, and performance.Partners closely with the HRBP EPD team in the Americas and India to align on strategies, key priorities, and processes that impact EPD.Partners with our People Team, Finance, and other parts of the organization to develop and/or deliver strategic HR initiatives that include: organizational design, talent management, employee relations, compensation, culture, diversity, talent development, and performance management.Actively works with local culture advocates to strengthen and maintain regional culture and organizational trust.Proactively partners with our Talent Acquisition team to share information and develop successful recruiting strategies.Supports compliance with all local laws and regulations, security, and integrity of data including personal and confidential information.Leads and/or serves on special HR assigned project teams and business unit committees.Reporting RelationshipReports to Director, HRBP for Engineering, Product, & Design Client Group: EMEA based EPD employees, front line managers, and leaders.
Minimum RequirementsDegree in HR, Business, or Engineering.Proficient Spanish verbal and written communication skills.Progressive experience in HR, including strong previous HR Business Partner experience with an organization that is fast-paced and customer-driven.Heavy emphasis on employee relations, must have prior ER experience.Demonstrated experience coaching and influencing leaders at various levels.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Experience advising US executives on application of local labor laws and compliance requirements in EMEA, specifically within Spain.In-depth experience in one or more HR disciplines (recruitment, compensation, employee relations, benefits, etc).Experience managing local site/regional challenges and complex regional projects while working across multiple geographies.Bonus PointsIf you have HR experience with a global SaaS organization (preferably experience supporting Engineering organizations).
Knowledge, Abilities, and SkillsDemonstrable knowledge of planning strategy, organizational development, HR practices, performance management, change management, employee relations, legal compliance, recruiting, and one or more HR specialties.
Very strong interpersonal, communication, collaborating, advising, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to lead project teams, set work priorities, analyze performance and retention issues, analyze workforce metrics and data, and make recommendations and implement solutions.
Working Location / ConditionsBarcelona (Hybrid working).
Occasional travel outside of Barcelona may be required.
