Myp (Secondary) And High School Humanities Teacher

SEK El Castillo is seeking to hire aMYP (Secondary) and High school Humanities Teacher.
MISSION: To foster interest in and commitment to learning in the humanities in a diverse, inclusive, and international educational environment. To inspire students through the study of history, literature, philosophy, and other humanities disciplines, cultivating critical analytical, communication, reading, and writing skills to empower them in a globalized world. To help students develop strong critical thinking and promote intercultural understanding, preparing them to excel in an interconnected and constantly evolving environment, while cultivating an international mindset.
FUNCTIONS: Plan, prepare, develop, and deliver humanities subjects in accordance with school curriculum guidelines, school requirements, IB programs, and LOMLOE requirements.Develop and present lesson plans using a variety of models and teaching techniques in the subject areas.Utilize relevant technology to support instruction.Collaborate with other teachers to review, develop, and write new vertical and horizontal curriculum documents, assessments, and reports.Keep abreast of international developments in the field, practice, and methodology.Observe, monitor, and evaluate student learning and progress.Prepare assessment tasks, tests, homework, and other projects.Model classroom inquiry practices and the IB learner profile.Differentiate courses of study and lessons to meet the individual needs of diverse students based on their academic ability and prior achievement.Maintain accurate and complete records of students' academic progress and achievement.Communicate student progress and evaluations to tutors and/or families.Maintain good student behavior in the classroom and on school premises according to school disciplinary policies.Prepare the classroom environment and maintain a safe, secure, and stimulating learning environment.Participate in meetings, professional development opportunities, and other school and institutional events.Be willing to participate in, cooperate with, and possibly lead other initiatives in the school related to the development of school culture, leadership among students, and the promotion of school values, such as projects, field trips, events, and pastoral care of students, as a way to effectively meet the personal, social (welfare), and academic needs of students and staff.REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in the Humanities or any official degree of Graduate or equivalent in the branch of knowledge of Arts and Humanities.
Accepted teacher certification (Secundary/Bach Master's degree).C1 level of English and other languages desirable.Experience as a teacher.Desirable: experience in international contexts.WE OFFER: Contract: Permanent.Schedule: 9 am to 5 pmWorkplace: Villafranca del Castillo - Villanueva de la Cañada (Madrid)
