Offer DescriptionWe are offering an exceptional opportunity for a highly motivated and creative postdoctoral researcher to join the Metabolic Growth Signals and Regenerative Medicine Laboratory. Our laboratory studies the tissue biology of insulin resistance (IR) and the impact of diabetes on the wound healing and repair process in organs such as the liver. This 1-year position will provide cutting-edge training in advanced imaging techniques, specifically in correlative array tomography scanning electron microscopy and 3D-tissue reconstruction granted by the Ministerio de Ciencia, Innovación y Universidades research project reference PID2020-117879GB-I00 / AEI / 10.13039 / 501100011033.Project Overview:The project aims to sample and reconstruct the liver progenitor cell niche to understand the impact of metabolic disease on stromal-epithelial interactions and wound healing. Utilizing a next-generation tissue biology approach through correlative volume electron microscopy (vCLEM), this research promises to deliver groundbreaking insights.Key Responsibilities:Implement and refine workflows for precision 3D-sampling of individual cells within tissue.Conduct advanced imaging and analysis using state-of-the-art equipment.Collaborate with a dynamic team led by Dr. Luke Noon to achieve project goals. Why Join Us:Gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge imaging technology.Work in a leading laboratory known for its innovative research and collaborative environment.Relocate to one of the top-rated cities in the world to live and work (Forbes Magazine 2022).If you are ready to seize this remarkable opportunity and contribute to pioneering research, we encourage you to apply.Only applications with a detailed covering letter outlining the candidate's suitability for the post will be considered.Basic requirements of the position:A Ph.D. in a relevant field such as biomedical sciences, cell biology, or related areas.A strong publication record and a passion for innovative research.Certification to work with laboratory animals in the European Union.Experience required:International experience in research is highly desirable.Experience in advanced 3D-imaging techniques and tissue reconstruction is desirable but not essential.Experience in electron microscopy is highly desirable but not essential.Where to apply: WebsiteRequirements:Research Field: Biological sciences » BiologyEducation Level: PhD or equivalentAdditional Information:Work Location(s):Number of offers available: 1Company/Institute: Principe Felipe Research CenterCountry: SpainCity: ValenciaContact State/Province: ValenciaCity: ValenciaStreet: Calle Eduardo Primo Yúfera, 3Postal Code: 46012E-Mail: ******: EXPIRED#J-18808-Ljbffr
