How will you make an impact in this role?
The role will provide strategic leadership for a team of 4 Client Managers and will also ensure warm card acceptance at a portfolio of strategic accounts whilst growing volume and revenues.
In this role, you will also support the Head of CLM Spain with the strategic plan and drive the CLM role to the next level focusing on sales growth and implementing all emerging payments models across the portfolio.
In addition to these responsibilities, the position will be responsible for the coordination and alignment with the Telesales & CCT Spain team.
Reporting to the Head of CLM Spain, you will collaborate closely with Spain issuers, with other CLM teams across the region, as well as partnering very closely with the full range of GMS support functions including Marketing, Pricing, Risk, GCO, and Payment Consulting to set up the right strategies to develop the CLM team and their portfolios.
Responsibilities Lead a high-performing team of 4 Client Managers.
Lead the CLM team on existing renegotiations of card acceptance agreements, ensuring full retention of the portfolio, and driving profitable coverage & revenue growth.
Actively develop and coach the team to drive business expansion in the new emerging payments environment.
Lead and implement strategic initiatives across the CLM Team to ensure closing coverage gaps and brand awareness visibility.
Partner closely with the Telesales & CCT Spain team, to ensure alignment and implementation of the strategic direction and key objectives for a large group of remotely managed merchants.
Maintain and develop relationships with key local industry associations.
Represent the CLM Spain team across all GMS interfaces and the Blue Box when required.
Oversee and support the fulfillment of all compliance and governance items.
Minimum Qualifications An outstanding people leader who creates engagement and commitment to drive superior commercial results.
Fluency in English and Spanish.
Availability to travel 10% of the time.
A deep understanding of the external acquiring environment and Spain payments landscape/marketplace.
A strong knowledge and full understanding of European payments legislation and acquiring regulation.
Strategic and analytical mindset, with the ability to translate strategic business plans into actions that drive coverage growth.
Operate with a growth mindset; a proactive, innovative thinker and decision-maker.
A successful track record and direct experience of business-to-business client management leadership.
Proven senior-level negotiator, with a clear track record of winning and retaining business.
A consummate communicator and senior business development relationship manager to Board level.
Proven ability to successfully operate in a matrixed, regional and/or global environment.
A track record of delivery in highly complex and difficult markets/environments.
