Sales, Trading and Structuring Graduate Programme 2025 Madrid Purpose of the role To participate in the day-to-day activities of the markets division providing insights and expertise that help senior colleagues make informed decisions, develop new products and services, and identify new market opportunities.
Accountabilities Execution of small research projects, research to support strategic decision making, preparation of presentations and reports to communicate research findings, collaboration with senior management to implement research findings for the global markets division. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives. Participation in training and development programmes to enhance skills and knowledge. Identification of opportunities, development of business cases, management of the deployment and launch of new products and services for the global markets division. Management of client relationships and provision of customer service support to clients and customers, under steadily decreasing supervision, responding to questions about products and services, processing of transactions. Management of the development and implementation of financial models and strategies that support in decision making in the global markets division. Training and mentoring of junior colleagues. Analyst Expectations Will have an impact on the work of related teams within the area. Partner with other functions and business areas. Takes responsibility for end results of a team's operational processing and activities. Escalate breaches of policies / procedures appropriately. Take responsibility for embedding new policies/ procedures adopted due to risk mitigation. Advise and influence decision making within own area of expertise. Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work you own or contribute to. Deliver your work and areas of responsibility in line with relevant rules, regulation and codes of conduct. Maintain and continually build an understanding of how own sub-function integrates with function, alongside knowledge of the organisations products, services and processes within the function. Demonstrate understanding of how areas coordinate and contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the organisation sub-function. Make evaluative judgements based on the analysis of factual information, paying attention to detail. Guide and persuade team members and communicate complex / sensitive information. Act as contact point for stakeholders outside of the immediate function, while building a network of contacts outside team and external to the organisation. As a Sales analyst, you'll start by supporting your colleagues before taking on your own set of clients. You may: Analyse and develop solutions to clients' needs Monitor markets and formulate trade ideas Perform various analysis on fundamental and technical data Attend client meetings or calls with traders, salespeople and research colleagues As a Trading analyst, you may: Monitor markets and generate trade ideas Participate in pricing products Help out with daily tasks such as trade reporting or P&L analysis Assist with managing risk of the team's trading activities
