Job Description: A vacancy for a B1 Aircraft Maintenance Technician has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space (AD&S) in Getafe, Madrid.
The successful applicant will join the AD&S Final Assembly Line team with a double shift.
RESPONSIBILITIESWorking as part of the Final Assembly Line (FAL) A330 MRTT Flight Line Centre - AG4 team, the role shall be:
Prepare, perform and certify base and line maintenance works as B1 certifying staff, working with a small group of non-licensed technicians when needed.Aircraft preparation for flight by implementing items recorded in the Test Preparation Sheet (TPS) issued by the Flight Ops organization for every flight.Carry out production works on the aircraft to prepare it for ground tests managed by the MRTT Design Office and supervised by FAL-Quality, as well as provide required support during test execution.Carry out retrofit mechanical works and tests on the aircraft in accordance with applicable retrofit service bulletins or applicable Job Cards.Perform aircraft discrepancy fixing, troubleshooting, handling, and servicing.Be willing to work abroad at ADS customer's sites during aircraft delivery to support ground & flight tests campaigns, as well as AD&S Services organization to implement Services Bulletins on site, and carry out aircraft conversion works at AD&S subcontractor premises.Provide support to A330 MRTT and A310 DEMO when required.SKILLSWe are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
Aircraft maintenance license EASA PART 66 category B1 aircraft rating Airbus A330 (RR TRENT 700 & GE CF6) without limitations.
MANDATORY.Possession of a valid EASA PART 66 category B2 aircraft maintenance license with the A330 is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.A minimum of 5 years of previous experience in an Airbus aircraft maintenance environment and at least 2 years working with A330 (RR TRENT 700) and/or (GE CF6).Demonstrated ability to provide relevant records during the selection process showing up-to-date aircraft continuous training and experience in accordance with EASA regulations.Fluent in English and negotiation level in Spanish.Willingness to work abroad for limited periods of time on a regular basis.Holding of national and NATO security clearance (SC) is highly appreciated.Experience of working to high quality standards and understanding of work recording and job traceability.
