Mr Porter - Waiter / Waitress

As a waiter/waitress you uplift the guests dining experience during their visit in MR PORTER STEAKHOUSE.
We are looking for individuals who will have the patience, personality and perseverance to thrive in this role. Waiter/Waitress responsibilities include greeting and serving guests, providing detailed information on menus, multi-tasking various duties and together with the team taking MR PORTER STEAKHOUSE to the next level. To be a successful Waiter or Waitress, you should be polite with our guests and make sure they enjoy their MR PORTER STEAKHOUSE experience. You should also be a team player and be able to effectively communicate with your colleagues. Keep in mind that Waiter/Waitress duties may require working in shifts and/or during weekends and holidays. Ultimately, it is the duty of our Waiters/Waitresses to provide an excellent overall dining experience for our guests.


Responsibilities Greeting guestsPresent menu and provide detailed information when asked (e.g. about the shared-dining concept, ingredients or potential food allergies)Prepare tables by setting up silverware and glassesOffer menu recommendations upon requestUp-sell additional products when appropriateTake accurate food and drinks orders, using a POS ordering software, order slipsCommunicate order details to the kitchen teamServe food and drink ordersCheck dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation and report any problems to your managerArrange table settings and maintain a tidy dining areaDeliver checks and collect bill paymentsRequirements Attentiveness and patience for guestsAim to deliver excellent presentation skillsOrganizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environmentActive listening and effective communication skillsTeam spiritThe ability to speak both English and SpanishFlexibility to work in shiftsWe offer extensive ongoing training and tasting programs for our staff in order to keep our teams on top of their game.
