Based in vibrant Barcelona, you'll be joining a passionate and forward-thinking team dedicated to delivering exceptional results.Key Responsibilities Take full ownership of the electric motor design process, from concept through to production.Conduct and oversee simulations, testing, and validation to ensure optimal motor performance and efficiency.Collaborate with suppliers to integrate scalable manufacturing processes during development.Contribute to the development of testing facilities and procedures for electric drivetrains.Support functional safety activities at the propulsion system level.Maintain detailed documentation of designs, processes, and lessons learned.Work closely with engineering and industrialisation teams to deliver high-volume electric motorcycles on time and within budget.Help shape the methodology and best practices for the growing electric drive team.Qualifications & Skills Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering (BS required; MS preferred).Proven ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and independently.Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.High standards for performance, quality, and attention to detail.Fluent in English with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Comfortable working in an agile, fast-moving environment, ideally with experience in startups or high-tech industries.Experience Required At least 4 years of experience designing and developing electric motors or powertrain systems, including CAD design and manufacturing drawings.Strong foundation in first-principle physics, including thermodynamics, power delivery, and energy transformation.Experience in evaluating motor performance metrics such as efficiency and performance curves.Proficiency in rotordynamics, shaft design, bearings, gears, and GD&T for serial manufacturing.Familiarity with manufacturing and quality control processes for electric motor production.Hands-on experience with 3D modelling tools and FEA software.Preferred Skills (Nice to Have) Familiarity with electromagnetic design tools.Experience with motor manufacturing tooling, motor/drive integration testing, and standard motor testing processes.Knowledge of motor control theory and sensor/sensorless motor control systems.Proficiency in tools such as PTC Creo, MATLAB, or similar
