About this project: IT-Programming / Web-Development Open Buens.
We want to solve duplicities within catalogs exported from various suppliers, which contain identical products to save space on the server and make the website faster, improve SEO, and avoid product duplicities on Google.
The module needs to create a unique product record based on the EAN of a product, to which suppliers can later be added with the following fields:
Supplier Reference: This is used to update the product from that supplier with the custom updaters we have running.
Product ID: The product will have in the 'reference' field the ID of the product already in the store (if it exists) or will create a new one when it is a new product.
Supplier Price: Each supplier provides a price, and if we want a product record to have all suppliers in one, we also need the price from each of them for comparison.
EAN: The EAN provided by the supplier for their product. There are articles with various EANs, and although we mark an EAN as a reference to the product, we need each supplier to enter theirs.
Product Quantity: The quantity provided by each supplier is individualized. If one supplier provides 3 products and another 4, the quantity will be 3 for one supplier and will change to 4 when the first runs out.
