Job Description The Modularization Construction Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating within the CONSTRUCTION TEAM and in charge of modularization principles. This role involves ensuring that modules are designed to be fabricated, transported, and assembled according to project specifications. The CONSTRUCTION MODULARIZATION ENGINEER will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including design, procurement, and construction, to optimize the use of modularization in construction projects, enhancing efficiency, reducing onsite labor, and shortening project timelines.
Key Responsibilities: Lead the planning and execution of modular construction strategies, including module design inputs to engineering, and define in collaboration with the method department for the transportation of the modules and onsite assembly. Work closely with design, engineering, and procurement teams to ensure that modules are designed and purchase sequences are done consistently with the fabrication schedule. Develop modularization work packages and oversee their integration into the overall project schedule. Monitor and manage the transportation setup of modules, ensuring safe, efficient, and timely delivery to the construction site. Coordinate with project managers, construction teams, and subcontractors to ensure seamless onsite installation and assembly of modules. Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and environmental regulations during module fabrication, transportation, and installation. Conduct site visits to assess modular assembly progress and troubleshoot any issues that arise together with the methods department. Collaborate with supply chain and logistics teams to optimize modular delivery schedules and routes. Assist in the development of construction methodologies, focusing on modularization to improve cost and schedule efficiency. Provide technical expertise during the construction bid phase, ensuring the successful integration of modules into the overall structure. Prepare and present reports on modularization progress, risks, and cost-benefit analyses to project stakeholders. Requirements Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Structural Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in modular construction, prefabrication, or related construction engineering roles. Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, modular fabrication techniques, and transport logistics. Familiarity with engineering design software and construction management tools. Excellent project management and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams. Knowledge of safety standards and regulations in construction and modularization. Experience with budgeting, scheduling, and risk management in construction projects.
