You'll work in our Madrid office as part of the Energy Solutions team.

You will work together with our leading energy practitioners, in collaboration with experts across Sustainability and adjacent industries, in our Market Intelligence and Performance Improvement teams.
Our Market Intelligence and Performance Improvement teams support energy players' strategic and investment decisions. In Market Intelligence, we turn data into meaningful insights to help energy players around the world identify opportunities, mitigate risk, and validate their business strategy. Our Performance Improvement teams combines industry expertise with performance benchmarks, diagnostic tools, and analytics, helping energy and oil and gas companies drive portfolio and business improvement.
What You'll Do
You will help Energy companies across the globe to develop a strategy and achieve their long-term objectives in the field of electric mobility.
In this role, you will contribute to daily problem solving, structuring, modelling and analytic support for our global downstream tools and related analyses. You will gather the information necessary to develop these tools/benchmarks and to synthesize your findings into targeted, McKinsey-formatted products. These products may be in the form of complex models and summary reports which evolve into standalone presentations that outline key findings and recommendations to internal and external audiences.
You will deepen your knowledge in the mobility retail field, specializing in the relevant sectors over time (e.g. fuel retail, electric mobility and lubricants) and develop your analytical approach as well as thought-partnership skills. You will work closely with senior expert practitioners to build synthesized perspectives for clients as well as state-of the-art knowledge and analytical tools. You'll have the opportunity to gain new skills and build on the strengths you bring to the firm. You will receive exceptional training as well as frequent coaching and mentoring from colleagues.
Qualifications Degree in engineering (industrial, oil & gas, chemicals), economics 2+ years of work experience; industry or consulting experience (e.g., from previous positions, internships) Strong interest in the mobility, EV charging and/or Oil & Gas sector (e.g. through degrees, courses, internships or work experience) Intermediate profeciency in PowerPoint and Excel Advanced problem-solving skills; comfortable working with numbers/quantitative models Ability to work in a fast-paced, result-oriented team with steep learning curve and strong commitment to coaching and development Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and with people at all levels in an organization Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional language capability is a plus
