CDP (A), Ranking Digital Rights (1st in telco sector), Digital Inclusion Benchmark (2nd company worldwide), Sustainalytics ESG Rating (94th percentile in sector), etc. General Description: The open position is within the Environment and Human Rights Corporate Department, which is one of the 4 areas reporting into Telefonica's Chief Sustainability Officer. The mission of the Environment and Human Rights department is to design, develop and implement strategies and actions to act upon opportunities and to mitigate risks in relation to a wide range of sustainability topics, ranging from environment and climate change over sustainable supply chain management to human rights. Main functions: The environmental expert we are looking for will participate in a variety of projects related to environment and circular economy new regulation: Implement specific projects to fill the GAPs of new regulation on environmental issues (circularity, environmental due diligence; water, biodiversity): Define general process and accompany the internal transformation projects, both at local and global level, in collaboration with other teams and companies of the Telefonica Group (i.E. biodiversity) Support water footprint calculation, planning and monitoring of water reduction initiatives and definition of water-related risks. Environmental due diligence of the value chain. Environmental information reporting and assurance (CSRD): Participation in Telefónica's annual corporate report of non-financial information, following CSRD requirements. Internal control of non-financial information. Support in auditing process. KPIs definition, monitoring, assurance. Implement specific projects to fill the GAPs of new regulation. All environmental requirements linked to the value chain; Carbon footprint management and reduction initiatives (scope 3): In collaboration with other teams, boosting and tracking initiatives to reduce our carbon footprint (renewables; efficiency, circular economy). Collaboration in the implementation of the carbon pricing within the company. Support to calculate Scope 3 emissions in all the locations of Telefónica Group
