Job Overview:We are seeking a talented and creative midweight designer with strong video editing skills to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating visually compelling graphics and video content that aligns with our brand and marketing goals. This role requires a strong understanding of design principles, advanced video editing techniques and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities:Graphic Design: Conceptualising and creating both still and video assets for various channels including web, email, social (organic and paid) and printLeading autonomously on the design and messaging hierarchy for all promotional campaign assetsLeading the design for ad-hoc projects across the business including the design of internal documents, new email templates, printed collateral, shop window vinyl and event invitesEnsuring all design work aligns with brand guidelines and maintains a consistent visual identityVideo Editing: Managing the production and editing of raw video footage into polished, engaging video content for paid and organic social channelsAdding music, dialogue, graphics, and special effects to videos as neededEnsuring videos are optimised for different platforms and devicesConceptualising and producing video content in line with our core marketing calendarTrend Awareness & Innovation: Being commercially aware and regularly experimenting with new design tools and software to enhance creativity and efficiencyContinuously seeking opportunities to push creative boundaries and elevate design standardsStaying up-to-date with video editing trends and techniques to ensure our video output remains competitive and engagingPresenting design concepts and revisions to internal team members, incorporating feedback and making necessary adjustments promptlyManaging multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project deadlines.Actively participating in brainstorming sessions to share new design perspectives and ideasSkills and Experience RequiredProven experience as a Graphic Designer with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of creative projects in both still and video formatsBachelor's degree in Graphic Design or similar formal training (highly desirable)Proficient in design and video editing software, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects), Final Cut Pro, or similar toolsStrong understanding of typography, colour theory, and visual compositionAbility to work on multiple projects simultaneously and manage time effectivelyTeam-player attitude with a willingness to contribute to creative brainstormsExcellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a team environmentProactive and independent, able to self-regulate and prioritiseAmbitious learner, who keeps up to date with the latest trends in their areas of expertise and is motivated in their professional developmentCreative mindset with a strong eye for detail and a passion for visual storytellingStrong knowledge of print and production processes is a bonusInterest in and appreciation of sustainable business practices and small brands
