Job Description We are hiring a Microbiome Laboratory Technician for our Probiotics Plant in Paterna Valencia, España. Job Purpose:
Execute the experimental plan in the Microbiome Laboratory involving in vitro gastro-intestinal simulators and bioreactors.
Your Responsibilities: Apply general microbiology techniques, such as plate count (CFU), triple streaking, serial dilution, and optical microscopy observation.Conduct microbial cultures e.g. in petri dishes, broth cultures, multiwell plates, and bioreactors.Basic molecular biology techniques such as DNA extraction and PCR.Prepare samples for biological, chemical, and biochemical analysis.Register samples accurately.Perform tests accurately and efficiently.Conduct necessary calculations and enter results into the system.Validate initial results, identify, and report any issues during analysis.Maintain and verify analysis equipment.Commit to safety and health standards.Willingness to learn new techniques and technologies.Keep the working area clean and organized.Assist in developing and writing new protocols.Maintain a laboratory notebook describing experimental protocol and results.Organize and centralize requests for the purchase of laboratory materials through the BC system, as well as inventory management.Support project research activities under the scientist's direction.Your Profile: Level of education required: Diploma of Technician and/or bachelor's in sciences.1-5 years of laboratory/pilot plant experience.Key Attributes: Attitude, Concern for Quality, Integrity/Values, Diversity, Safety, Problem-Solving, and Proactivity.Additional Skills: Proficiency with computer tools (MS Office, Word, Excel, SAP).Other Requirements: Responsibility, ability to collaborate productively with colleagues, curiosity, and eagerness to learn.
