Job Overview
Ensures that AUT EMEA's molding departments are technically and technologically positioned to be a source of competitive advantage and are capable of delivering the long term (5+ years) performance needed by the business.
Optimization and standardization of our molding processes in AUT EMEA (molds, processes & methods).
Monitoring, controlling and reporting of running projects by customizing the projects to plant individual needs.
Developing new concepts for molding processes and production together with the Center of Excellence (CoE), Manufacturing Engineering (ME), and Tool & Die (T&D).
Developing and rolling out best practices (SDP) and CoE projects across all AUT EMEA locations.
Supporting production capacity balancing in our day-to-day work and developing processes & features with increased flexibility (Ramp-up, Ramp-down, End-of-life management).
Driving initiatives for plant productivity increase, automation, material saving, and cost reduction.
Instructs department leaders and plant managers in aligning molding activities with management goals and expectations as well as the roadmaps and strategies.
Participate regularly in EMEA meetings and workshops with all department leaders to ensure knowledge sharing and actuality.
Participate in the development & execution of the molding excellence process.
Supporting the manufacturing management in terms of budgeting, CAPEX planning and allocation of equipment, as well as the resulting roll out and execution activities.
What your background should look like:
Minimum 10+ years of experience in various Engineering or Process Development assignments.
5+ years of experience in molding - Automotive industry preferred but not mandatory.
Minimum 2+ years of management experience in a production environment.
Strong background in technical concepts and in machines/tools/production.
Basic knowledge of Operational Excellence and Lean tools (Six Sigma degree is preferable).
Fluent in English.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, team player attitude.
Mobility and willingness to travel (up to 60% of the time).
