Currently in a phase of expansion, our clientis actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced Metallurgy Manager to join our forging and casting client. As the Metallurgy Manager, you will beresponsible for overseeing all metallurgical processes, ensuring the highestquality standards are met while maintaining operational efficiency. Requirements - Manage and supervise the metallurgydepartment, including a team of metallurgists and technicians. - Develop and implement metallurgical processesand procedures to optimize product quality and operational efficiency. -Conduct metallurgical analysis and testing toevaluate material properties, such as hardness, strength, and corrosionresistance. -Collaborate with engineering and productionteams to develop metallurgical specifications for new products and materials. -Monitor and control the heat treatment processto achieve desired material properties. - Conduct failure analysis and root causeinvestigations to identify and resolve metallurgical issues. -Collaborate with suppliers and customers toensure compliance with metallurgical requirements and specifications. - Stay abreast of the latest advancements inmetallurgical technology and industry trends, implementing improvements asnecessary. - Train and mentor metallurgy staff, providingguidance on best practices and safety protocols. - Collaborate with other departments, such asquality control and production planning, to ensure seamless operations andtimely product delivery. Profile: - Bachelor's degree in MetallurgicalEngineering or a related field. -Minimum of 10 years of experience inmetallurgical operations, preferably in a forging and casting environment. - Strong knowledge of metallurgical processes,including heat treatment, casting, forging, and material characterization. -Familiarity with metallurgical testingequipment and tools, such as microscopes, spectrometers, and hardness testers. -Proficiency in interpreting technicalspecifications and blueprints. -Excellent problem-solving and analyticalskills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve metallurgical issues. -Strong leadership and managerial abilities,with experience in leading a team. - Exceptional attention to detail and acommitment to maintaining high-quality standards. -Excellent communication and interpersonalskills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functionalteams. - Knowledge of safety regulations and bestpractices.
