The Messaging Strategist will be responsible for drafting and editing content in the form of blogs, articles, and social media posts.Responsibilities: Create compelling headlines and body copy in the form of web pages, blogs, articles, and social media posts. This includes promotional content, such as landing pages, video scripts, email marketing, etc.Write formal medical articles and research the relevant topics needed.Review and refresh site content on an ongoing basis to ensure it is always relevant and optimized according to the latest SEO strategies.Ensure all published content meets our standards for accuracy, grammar, tone, and quality.Edit and polish existing content to improve readability.Remain current on developments in the eye care field and generate new ideas.Job Requirements: 4+ years of marketing content writing experience.Detail-oriented and able to work well under pressure. Knowledge in optometry/ophthalmology is a plus.Ability to craft compelling, concise social media content using promotional language.Excels at conversational, promotional, and formal writing.Proven ability to communicate complex topics in ways that are relatable and understandable to readers.Well-versed with SEO and writing high-quality content that passes the "Google Test".Experience using content management systems and managing/editing websites (WordPress).Advanced user in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and Google Drive (Documents, Sheets, etc.).Well-organized, able to multitask, and possesses excellent time management skills.Strong research skills - a must.Bachelor's degree in journalism, communication, marketing, or a relevant field.Experience in medical content writing (an asset)
